About us
A movement, not a denomination.
ECO is not another church and asks no one to leave theirs. It is the Church of Ecuador praying together: pastors, congregations and ministries from different traditions holding one altar.
“After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up.” Hechos 15:16
What ECO is
ECO is a prayer movement of the Church of Ecuador. It rests on the restoration of the royal priesthood in unity with the Body of Christ through 24/7 worship and intercession, according to the eternal purpose of Jesus Christ that “his house be a house of prayer” (Mt. 21:13). ECO gathers Pastors, Congregations and Ministries from different denominations in Ecuador who pray together day and night each week, focused on the establishing of the Kingdom of God and the return of Jesus Christ, Eternal King of the Nations.
How it began
ECO began in October 2012 in Quito. Hernán and Janeth Robalino, founding pastors of the congregation El Sendero de la Vida Cristiana, received from the Lord a burden for the priestly calling of the Church and for the united prayer of God’s people as His means of government. The movement came out of that, and so did its shape: not a work of its own, but different congregations holding one altar.
- Founding pastors: Hernán and Janeth Robalino
- Home congregation: El Sendero de la Vida Cristiana, Quito
- Since October 2012, growing with more pastors each year
The four aims
-
24/7 prayer as culture
To establish 24/7 prayer as the culture of the Church of Jesus Christ in Ecuador and in the nations, bringing as a result the just government of Jesus Christ in every nation and His soon coming.
-
Equipping the Church
To equip and support the Church to restore and establish 24/7 prayer as the foundation of all ministry.
-
Preparing the Bride
To prepare the Church, the Bride of Christ, to receive Jesus Christ the Bridegroom. To restore the first and second commandment. To receive a greater understanding of the love of God, awakening God’s children to passion for Jesus and compassion for the lost.
-
A generation of intimate disciples
To prepare a generation of disciples intimate with God, in whom God dwells and through whom He is revealed to this generation.
The Great Commission
ECO promotes the Great Commission and the preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom with healings and miracles, mobilising families, young and old, to go out to the streets in search of the lost.
What we do not do
- We do not charge for prayer, training, or the help given through the justice programmes.
- We do not sell healing, miracles or prophecy: we believe God heals, and we never make it conditional on an offering.
- We do not ask anyone to leave their congregation or to be accountable to ECO instead of their pastor.
- We do not publish prayer requests or names without explicit permission.
- We do not replace medical care, psychological care or emergency services.
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
The restoration of David’s tabernacle
One of the prophecies for the last days is the restoration of the Tabernacle of David (Acts 15:16-17). We believe we live in the time of the generation in which the Lord will return. ECO seeks to prepare this generation of believers with a heart after God’s own: believers who worship, serve and love God with all their heart, with a holy passion. We will establish unceasing prayer day and night until the glory and knowledge of God reach the ends of the earth.
