Why, and why now

These figures are public and carry their source. We do not pair them with photographs: the dignity of those who suffer is not campaign material.

What ECO is

ECO is a prayer movement of the Church of Ecuador. It rests on the restoration of the royal priesthood in unity with the Body of Christ through 24/7 worship and intercession, according to the eternal purpose of Jesus Christ that “his house be a house of prayer” (Mt. 21:13). ECO gathers Pastors, Congregations and Ministries from different denominations in Ecuador who pray together day and night each week, focused on the establishing of the Kingdom of God and the return of Jesus Christ, Eternal King of the Nations.

What is missing

We are not asking to start something: we are asking so it does not stop. Since 2012 the prayer has been held in borrowed halls and other people’s schedules. The prayer room is 200 square metres in northern Quito, at a thousand dollars each. Two hundred metres, two hundred families, and the altar has a home.

  • The land is already donated: what goes on top is what is missing
  • First phase open: $85,000 for foundations and walls
  • One square metre, $1,000: the unit the whole sum is made of
  • Each phase is built once it is covered

Where to start

Three doors, and none of them asks you to leave your congregation or to give anything.

The four aims

What is prayed

Two columns of incense smoke rising against a pale ground, one lavender and one cyan.

Corporate intercession does not improvise: there are themes the movement holds week after week, by agreement between the congregations. God’s people united to intercede for what is on God’s heart, as an expression of the unity of the Church.

  • The preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
  • The restoration of the royal priesthood in the Church: believers walking in their priestly calling.
  • The restoration of the Covenant in the Church: the first and second commandment.
  • The manifestation and establishing of God’s government in the nations, and His justice in the nations already given by the Father to the Son by divine decree (Psalm 2).

What we do

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

Apocalipsis 1:8 Reina-Valera 1960

Frequently asked questions

What is ECO, Ecuador Casa de Oración?

ECO is a prayer movement of the Church of Ecuador that gathers pastors, congregations and ministries from different denominations to sustain 24/7 worship and intercession each week. It is not a denomination or another church.

Do I have to leave my church to take part?

No. ECO exists to serve the Church, not to replace it: those who pray together come from different congregations and remain in them. Taking part changes neither where you gather nor to whom you are accountable.

How do I ask for prayer?

Send a WhatsApp message, call the prayer line or submit the form on the help page. Your request is read by the intercession team and carried into corporate prayer. It is free and confidential.

What does “24/7 prayer” mean?

It means worship and intercession without interruption, covered in shifts across the congregations of the movement. Today it is sustained 24/7 each week, and the stated aim is for it to become continuous, every day of the year.

Where do you meet?

Today prayer is sustained in the congregations that make up the movement, in Quito and other cities. Our own prayer room — a permanent place for 24/7 prayer — is being built in northern Quito.
